If you’d like to help out as a marshal, or know someone who would, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Whether you can help for a few hours on the Thursday evening, or can attend all three events, your support would be greatly appreciated. Lunch packs supplied to all volunteers every day! We've organised a marshal's training session for Sunday 21st March, from 1pm, at the Grandstand in Douglas, please let us you you are interested in attending so we can reserve a space for you. Our Chief Marshal is Paul Dewar, please get in touch with Paul, by emailing us at: mmrc@manx.net if you would like to marshal for us - any help you can give is very much appreciated If you have any queries regarding road closures please contact us on 01624 670150 or mmrc@manx.net Governor’s Sprint The area involved is: Glencrutchery Road, from Douglas Cemetery to its junction with Bemahague Road and along Bemahague Road to its junction with West Drive. This also includes Governor’s Dip and the Old TT Road at the Nook. St Ninian’s junction will remain open at all times for access to Willaston and Governor’s Hill via Ballanard Road and Johnny Waterson’s Lane. Other alternative routes to Onchan and Laxey would be via the Promenade. Access to Park Avenue, Mountain View and St Andrew’s Church will not be affected. The Sloc Hillclimb The area involved is: A36 Sloc Road 1,000 metres north of its junction with B44 Ballakilpheric Road to its southern junction with the D60 Dalby Lhag Road Lhergy Frissell Hillclimb The area involved for the road closure is: A18 Mountain Road from its junction with Barrule Park to 50 metres south of Guthrie’s Memorial. No through traffic from the Bungalow to Ramsey. Vehicular access to and from Barrule Park will be remain open, if a little restricted at times, via the usual entrance on May Hill / the A18 Mountain Road. Saturday 24th April 2010 Parking Suspension from 7.45am to 4.45pm The area involved for the parking suspension is: Beaumont Road, Lheaney Road and Queen’s Drive West including the Triangle area - from their junctions with May Hill to the junction with Brookhill Road. |
